Professional Expertise:                   

Kong graduated from University of Malaya with an honour with distinction in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his professional engineer and provides consultancy services in mechanical and electrical systems in building and marine industry.

He gained vast experience in the areas of mechanical and electrical systems and green building design for a wide range of iconic and prestige buildings and infrastructure projects. (e.g. hospitals, university, stadium, convention hall, multi-level shopping complexes, high rise buildings, mix-developments and etc).

Kong has been active in the last few years in his areas of interest in Fire Engineering and Green Building Design.  He is fluent in a number of CFD models such as FDS and Fluent, as well as DesignBuilder for energy simulation. He is also a qualified Green Building Facilitator.

Ir. Kong is also a Technical Director of Leong Poon & Assoc (M) Sdn. Bhd. which provides consultancy services in performance based fire safety engineering design, thermal comfort analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and subway environment simulation (SES) for subway design.

Lai graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Technology, Malaysia. He is also a GBI facilitator. He has over seven years in the design of electrical and mechanical systems for various projects.
